My name is Lisa, and I blog over at Read.Breathe.Relax. I’m a professional writer/editor and super, mega avid reader. I recently married the love of my life, who I affectionately called Beard or BeardFace.
The other member of our family is an orange tabby cat, Meow Meow. He loves to gallop around our apartment like a horse and wreck havoc on fringed tablecloths and catnip mice. Other than reading, I love writing, editing, scrapbooking, laughing, coffee, raspberry pie, journaling, picking at my nails and collecting quirky friends.
I've been blogging since 2009, but have been posting consistently since this past March. I mainly read and blog about Fantasy and YA books (almost all of the YA books fall in the fantasy genre, too). I particularly love all the Dystopian books out there and have recently fallen in love with Steampunk!

The Weekly Question (answered by Yours Truly!): Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?
A. I think the worse full-length book I've ever actually finished was National Velvet when I was about 10 and had to read it for a school assignment. IT WAS AWFUL. More recently than that, The Devil in Disguise by Stephanie Sloane would have to suffice. It was hideous. Review here: The Devil in Disguise

ReplyDeleteI normally don't finish books I don't like, since I hate force reading. I don't mind though! The time should be spent on good books. I have forced myself through some though, like the ones mentioned in my post.

I don't mind books about horses, or books with horses in them (after all, a quarter of the romantic scenes in Regency novels contain horses, or secret trysts in the park facilitated by the use of a horse. Where would we be without horses in Regency?). But a book solely focused on an animal's relationship with a human doesn't really work for me. Communication barrier nonwithstanding I guess I'm just not a huge animal fan. I mean, I don't stand for fur coats or putting down shelter dogs, but the relationship isn't for me. I like human relationships. Clearly... I'll stop by both your blogs! Thanks for following!
