So on rather short notice I discovered the 'Once Upon a Read-a-Thon' hosted by
Reading Angel, Lori at
Pure Imagination, and Candace at
Candace's Book Blog! Even on such short notice I believe I've trained rigorously enough these past few months to make a pass at this challenge... right. I'm very excited, even though I have to enter the giveaway as an under 18 year old and thus cannot receive 'adult' books. Which amuses me to know end, because I'm going to be READING 'adult' books for the Read-a-Thon. Geesh, people are picky.
But I did once love me a good YA so I'd be grateful to win one of those anyway! Swag is always pretty sweet too. :) Anyways, the Read-a-Thon goes from July 11 to July 13, and the challenge is to read more than I normally would. A pretty big task considering I devour at least a book a day. Here are my plans:
Reviews that I have already on my computer and am thinking about posting during this time period but may save til after the Read-a-Thon:
July 12 - Resurrection by Boone Brux. I think. This review was up on Siren's Song earlier today, which means I can post it on July 12. However now that I look for it, it has disappeared. I'm... not quite sure what that means. Stay tuned.
July 11 - This one is also a maybe-post. It's called The Auction, a Dark Erotica by Kitty Thomas.
July
someday - I'm just submitting my review of Chasing the Sunset by Barbara Mack to the lovely ladies at Siren's Song tonight or tomorrow mornng, so I dont know when I'll be able to post it. It depends on when they do. Sorry ladies.
Now, I normally read one to two books a day - however I happen to be going to a friend's lake house tomorrow all day and I'm working 8 hours both the 12th and the 13th, so that severely limits my time in an abnormal fashion. Therefore I'm going to say four books. And here they are:
Noticing a trend? Sexy highlanders and pretty dresses abound! Anyways, wish me luck as I hunker down and read with fervor! I'll report to you every day on my progress, hopefully with a review in hand! If you follow me on goodreads, you'll note I've been 'reading' 3 of these 4 books since June 30th. I assure you I haven't picked them up yet - and it never takes me that long to read a book. I simply entered all nine of the books I picked up at the library that day!
I'm off! A good night's rest is required before such strenuous reading! Farewell my fellow bookish people!
